Total ice = guests × base ice per guest × (1 + extra per hour% × max(hours − 1, 0))

Intermediate values keep extra precision. Counts that represent complete tables, vehicles, containers, units, packs or printed items are rounded upward only at the purchase or planning stage.

How to understand the result
